Master in Life Sciences Environvmental Technologies

The Master of Science in Life Sciences – Environmental Technologies prepares students for responsible and innovative work in industry, research, and consulting. It focuses on environmental risk assessment, including risk analysis, environmental assessment, and risk management, as well as how pollutants move and act across environments. Students also study protection of water resources, the evaluation of sustainable production methods with a focus on the circular economy, resource efficiency, and environmental process technology.

The programme combines scientific training with practical application and includes practical training in research laboratories and pilot plants in the Process Technology Center (PTC). Students complete a master’s thesis over an eight-month period with an industry partner, at a university, or at a research institute. The programme can be studied full-time or part-time/work-study, with learning available onsite and online. International options include a double degree with a partner university or completing the thesis abroad.
