Master in Life Sciences Pharmatechnologie

The Master in Life Sciences – Pharmatechnologie (Master of Science in Life Sciences) focuses on developing and producing medicines. It covers formulation and administration of medicines, specialized modules for the formulation of biologics, continuous pharmaceutical production, and planning and technical execution of pharmaceutical production plants. Optional modules can support deeper study in analytical chemistry, applied cell biology, biotechnology, and bioanalytics.

Teaching is delivered in a mix of in-person and remote learning. The program runs as full-time or part-time/while working, with 90 ECTS points for single study or 120 ECTS points for a Double Degree. Students choose modules from a broad module offer to align their studies with personal interests and career goals. A master thesis of eight months is completed with practical experience in industry or research.

A double degree option is available with partner universities, and an alternative is completing the master thesis abroad. The degree prepares graduates for roles in the pharmaceutical or biomedicine industry, including positions connected to contract research and contract manufacturing organizations, pharmaceutical engineering, life-sciences consulting, and regulatory authorities.
