About this program

The Bachelor of Information Technology (BIT) is hosted in the Department of Information Technology, Faculty of Computing and Informatics Sciences, Mbarara University of Science and Technology. Students study information technology through a full-time day programme that uses a structure of two semesters in each year.

The programme emphasizes hand-on training, innovation, and the application of IT for community development. It is a three (3) year full time study programme, with a maximum of five (5) years allowed to complete the programme.
