Bachelor of Sust Agriculture Rural Devt

The Bachelor of Sustainable Agriculture and Rural Development at Ndejje University equips students with skills in sustainable farming, rural development, and natural resource management. Students study areas including sustainable agriculture practices, rural development and community engagement, agricultural resource management, modern farming techniques and technologies, and support for sustainable livelihoods and environmental conservation.

The course runs for 3 years in day/in-service study mode. It is organized by year and semester, with modules such as Agro-Microbiology, Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation, Soil Science, agricultural research and statistics, rural sociology and agriculture extension, and farm project and outreach. The programme includes Internship/Field Attachment I and Internship/Field Attachment II, plus a Research Report.

Direct Entry

• Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) with at least 5 passes
• Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) with at least 2 principal passes, preferably in Agriculture, Biology, or Geography.

Diploma Entry

• A relevant diploma in Agriculture, Rural Development, or a related field from a recognized institution.

Mature Age Entry

• Candidates must have passed a recognized Mature Age Entry Examination and be at least 25 years old.

International Applicants

• Qualifications equivalent to Uganda Advanced Level, with certified academic documents and proof of English proficiency where applicable.
