Diploma in Commercial Art Design

The Diploma in Commercial Art & Design at Ndejje University builds creative, technical, and practical skills for visual communication and design. Students focus on graphic design, illustration, branding, and digital media, with an emphasis on applying design principles and creating graphic design and branding materials. Learners also interpret client briefs and develop creative solutions, supported by the ability to utilize digital design tools and software.

The program uses practical, hands-on training with modern design tools and software. It includes exposure to real-world design projects and creative briefs, and it supports graduates to develop a professional portfolio that showcases their design work. The course award is a Diploma, delivered on a Day/Weekend study mode, on the Main campus, with a duration of 2 years. Intake is January/August.

Direct Entry

• Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) with at least 1 principal pass and 2 subsidiary passes

Certificate Entry (Upgrade / Credit Transfer)

• Relevant certificate in Art & Design or related field from a recognized institution

Mature Age Entry

• A minimum score of 50% in a recognized Mature Age Entry Examination

International Applicants

• Qualifications equivalent to Uganda’s A-Level
• Academic documents must be equated where necessary
• Proof of English proficiency if prior education was not in English
