Diploma in Hotel Management and Catering

The Diploma in Hotel Management and Institutional Catering at Nkumba University prepares students for work in the hotel and catering industry. Students study management, operations, and customer service skills. The course includes front office operations, food and beverage service, and kitchen management.

The program is described as providing knowledge and practical skills through experienced faculty. It supports progression to further studies. Graduates can pursue roles such as hotel manager and front office manager, or move into food and beverage, event, catering, and sales and marketing management.

• A Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) with a minimum of 5 passes obtained at the same sitting or its equivalent.
• Uganda Advanced Level Certificate (UACE) with at least one Principal Pass, and 2 subsidiary passes obtained at the same sitting or its equivalent.
• Or a certificate obtained after 2 years of post UCE study from a recognized institution.
• Or any equivalent Certificate besides UCE and UACE from a recognized institution.
