Diploma in Accounting Ft

The Cardiff and Vale College AAT Advanced Diploma in Accounting covers accounting and finance skills in four mandatory units: Business Awareness, Financial Accounting: Preparing Financial Statements, Management Accounting Techniques, and Tax Processes for Business. Students study areas including business environment and stakeholders, preparing statements of profit or loss and financial position, management accounting techniques for decision making, and tax processes covering VAT and payroll.

The course is full time and runs from 1 September to 25 June. Teaching and assessment include four computer-based assessments. It is delivered at the City Centre Campus, Cardiff, with day-time study at 18 hours per week.

The qualification is the AAT Advanced Diploma in Accounting (level 3) and is described by Cardiff and Vale College as a mid-level accounting qualification for learners looking to advance existing knowledge of accounting.

Successful completion of AAT Level 2 or Level 2 Bookkeeping with commercial experience. You will need to attend an interview and pass an AAT Skills assessment. There is an AAT membership fee of approximately £240 which needs to be paid directly to AAT
