The University of Wales, Swansea MSc Sustainable Aviation focuses on sustainable aviation design and manufacturing. Students study advanced propulsion and next-generation, net-zero aircraft technologies, including aerodynamics, airframe structures, flight dynamics and control, and composite materials. The programme also includes sustainable and societal engineering and develops knowledge of theory, design, and operation of aeronautical vehicles, with emphasis on sustainable propulsion, low-carbon manufacturing, and next-generation aircraft technologies.
Learning combines theory with hands-on work through individual and group research projects. The MSc includes compulsory modules such as Advanced Aerodynamics and Flight Dynamics, Advanced Aerostructures and Aeroelasticity, Group Project (Aerospace), Next Generation Sustainable Aircraft Technologies, and Sustainable and Societal Engineering. Students complete a taught masters dissertation with the module MSc Dissertation - Aerospace Engineering.

Usually entry requirements for the MSc Sustainable Aviaiton course are a first or a second class honours degree in Engineering, or similar relevant science discipline. You will also need to have an overall mark of at least 55%. However, performance in key modules will also be considered.

If English is not your first language, you will need an acceptable pass in an approved English Language qualification to make sure you get the full benefit from studying at Swansea. We consider a wide range of qualifications, including the Swansea University English Test, the British Council IELTS test (with a score of at least 6.5 and 5.5 in each component).
