University of Oslo, PhD Research Fellowship in Immunology in Norway, 2018

Scholarship Description: A three-year PhD Research Fellowship position (SKO 1017) is available at the Department of Immunology at the Norwegian Complement Research Group. The fellowship is lead by Professor Tom Eirik Mollnes, MD and the project owner Søren E. Pischke, MD PhD (certified specialist in Anaesthesiology and Critical Care) at the Department of Immunology, the University of Oslo, Institute of Clinical Medicine.

Scholarship Provider: The University of Oslo, until 1939 named the Royal Frederick University, is the oldest university in Norway, located in the Norwegian capital of Oslo.

If English is not your first language then you will need to show that your English language skills are at a high enough level to succeed in your studies.

Degree Level: Fellowship is available for pursuing PhD programme.

Available Subject: Fellowship is awarded in Immunology with Focus on the Complement System in Ischemia/Reperfusion Injury.

Eligibility Criteria: Master degree in a relevant field of research is mandatory and a medical degree is considered an advantage
Experience with animal work (Felasa C certificate), in vitro cell culture (preferably of primary cells) and cellular immunology techniques are considered a strong advantage
Proficient in written and oral English (international applicants must document these skills prior to admission to the PhD programme)
