Bachelor of Health Services Management Honours

The Africa University Bachelor of Health Services Management Honours is an undergraduate program in the Department of Public Health and Nursing. It prepares students for health services management by covering principles of health services accounting, economic principles, organisational behaviour, health promotion and care of the vulnerable, and health services organisation. Students also study health law, health economics and healthcare financing, and health informatics.

The program runs on a full-time basis at the Main Campus and has a duration of 4 year(s). It includes communication and counselling skills, history of health care in Africa, prevention and control of communicable and non communicable diseases, epidemiology and biostatistics, environmental and occupational health, family health, and research methods and ethics in health care. A Project is included (course credits: 72).

5 ‘O’ Level passes including English Language, Mathematics and any two subjects from the following: Accounts, Commerce, Computer Science and Business Studies, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Geography, Statistics and Integrated Science.
