Bachelor of Science Honours Degree in Wildlife Ecology and Fisheries Management

The Bachelor of Science Honours Degree in Wildlife Ecology and Fisheries Management at Bindura University of Science Education focuses on ecological principles in wildlife and rangeland management. Students study assessment of wildlife, threatening processes affecting several taxa, and laws governing wildlife management, with a major focus on the interface between humans and wildlife and on sustainable management of wildlife resources for the benefit of people.

Teaching includes taught courses and an attachment period. During the attachment period, students conduct research in areas of their interest to build proficiency in selected areas. The programme includes a research project and attachment, plus modules covering research methods, land evaluation, natural resources and environmental law, GIS and remote sensing, wildlife development biology, rangeland resource evaluation, and ichthyology and herpetology.

• Have obtained at least five Ordinary Level subject passes including English Language and Mathematics passed with a grade C or better
