Bachelor of Science Honours in Management and Entrepreneurial Development Studies

The Bachelor of Science Honours in Management and Entrepreneurial Development Studies (Banking and Finance) prepares students with knowledge and practical skills in banking, finance, management, entrepreneurship, and business development. It covers areas such as financial management, banking operations, investment analysis, risk management, entrepreneurship, business strategy, and financial technology. Students also build research and analytical skills to investigate challenges in banking, finance, entrepreneurship, and management.

The programme combines theoretical foundations with practical applications. Students are prepared to operate in banking institutions, financial services organisations, corporate environments, government institutions, non-governmental organisations, and entrepreneurial ventures. It also develops communication skills for clients, colleagues, managers, investors, and stakeholders, and supports outcomes linked to responsible banking, entrepreneurship, and financial management.

In order to qualify for entry to the degree, candidates must satisfy the Entry Regulations specified in the General Academic Regulations and, in so doing must also meet the following additional requirements:

• Passes in at least five ‘O’ level approved subjects with Grade C or better, two of which should be English Language and Mathematics and should possess relevant National Diplomas (ND) or Higher National Diplomas (HND) in Business Studies and/or Computer Studies. Other professional qualifications which demonstrate that the applicants are able to manage degree studies may be considered (such as part CIS, ACCA, CIMA, and SAAA) and at least two years relevant working experience OR;
• Passes in at least five ‘O’ level approved subjects with Grade C or better, two of which should be English Language and Mathematics and at least two passes in ‘A’ level subjects relevant to the field of study.
