The Bachelor of Science Honours in Natural Resources Management at Africa University is an undergraduate program in the Department of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences. It covers soil science, ecology, environmental planning and management, agricultural botany and plant physiology, agricultural economics, wildlife management, tourism and environment, waste management, energy and environmental pollution, disaster preparedness, GIS, rural development, biotechnology and the environment, and environmental impact assessment and sustainable development.
Learning mode is full time at the main campus. The programme structure includes communication skills and research methods, a set of agriculture and natural resources foundation and applied modules, internships (Internship I and Internship II) with an Internship Report, and a research project (Research Project) plus a final module in environmental policy and resource management and related topics. After the first two years, students choose specialization courses in Environmental Management or Wildlife and Fisheries Management.
