Tianjin University International Student Scholarship , China (Chemical Engineering Program)

The Tianjin University International Student Scholarship for Chemical Engineering and Technology is set by the School of Chemical Engineering and Technology to support prospective international students in the bachelor programme Chemical Engineering and Technology. The scholarship duration is four years, but winners must complete an annual review; only those passing the annual review are eligible for the next year of scholarship support.

The scholarship is for applicants applying to the bachelor programme Chemical Engineering and Technology (taught in English). It offers a full scholarship option and a partial scholarship option. The stated scholarship standard includes a tuition subsidy and, for the full option, a living allowance.

Selection includes taking the China Scholastic Competency Assessment (CSCA) and submitting an online application through the International Student Service System, followed by an interview. The interview assesses comprehensive qualities and Chinese language proficiency. After admission, students complete fee pre-payment requirements and then proceed with visa application and registration.

• Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens with a valid passport.For applicants who used to be Chinese citizens but later immigrated to other countries, they must meet the conditions set by Document No. 12 (2020) of the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China.Applicants must have a high school diploma and be under the age of 25.Applicants who are under the age of 18 as of September 1st, 2026 must submit the original guardian certificate issued by the Tianjin District Notary Office, and the guardian must be a permanent resident of Tianjin.Applicants must be in good health and of good character, be well-behaved, and be willing to abide by China’s laws and regulations and university rules.Students must submit English proficiency certificates: IELTS 6.0 or TOEFL 80 is mandatory.Native English speakers are exempted from providing relevant English proficiency certificates.

• Full scholarship option: Tuition subsidy of 20,000 RMB per year.Full scholarship option: Living allowance of 1,400 RMB per month for 10 months per year.Partial scholarship option: Tuition subsidy of 20,000 RMB per year.Tuition fees and scholarships are subject to the Admission Notice of Tianjin University.

Take the China Scholastic Competency Assessment (CSCA) test organized on behalf of the Ministry of Education of China and obtain the score report.Complete and submit the online application using the International Student Service System (ISSS). Fill in application information online, upload required documents, and fill in and sign the relevant application form before uploading a scanned copy to the “Others” section.After university review, proceed to the interview stage. The interview assesses comprehensive qualities and Chinese language proficiency.After receiving an admission result, pre-pay a deposit of 7,000 RMB and an application fee of 420 RMB within the university’s stipulated deadline.
