Bachelor in Fashion Design (Honours)
Introduction
Bachelor in Fashion Design (Honours) is a Bachelor program taught at Raffles University, Malaysia. Intake: Fall, Spring. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (4 years) options.
The Bachelor in Fashion Design (Honours) at Raffles University introduces budding fashion designers to the fundamentals of fashion. Students learn textile technology, studio practice, and design theory. The programme focuses on sketching ideas, creating digital drawings, making patterns, constructing outfits, and understanding the properties of fabrics and materials.
Students study across three years with studio-based work and multiple design and technical modules. The structure includes fashion drawing, CAD for fashion design, fashion draping, women’s wear drafting, sewing applications, and advanced techniques. Year 3 includes Internship– Major Studio Project 1 and Major Studio Project 2.
This programme leads to roles such as Fashion Designer, Product Developer, Production Manager, Pattern Maker, Fashion Illustrator, and Design Room Coordinator, with additional options including Pattern Maker’s Assistant, Dispatch Room Coordinator, Cutter, Textile Designer, Fabric Development and Consultation, and Accessories Planner.

Admission Requirements
The minimum requirements for admission in Bachelor in Fashion Design (Honours) at Raffles University for all applicants (Domestic or International) are:
