Diploma in Visual Communication

Diploma in Visual Communication is a Diploma program taught at Raffles University, Malaysia. Intake: Fall, Spring. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (2 years) options.

The Diploma in Visual Communication prepares students with theoretical and practical design knowledge and skills for the graphic design industry. Students work on studio-based learning projects that support critical thinking, conceptualisation, and the use of computer software, alongside learning areas such as typography, digital imaging, illustration, and photography.

The programme runs for 2 Years 4 Months and includes industry activities such as a presentation showcase, an industrial fieldtrip, and an industry project. Modules span Year 1 and Year 2, and the programme also includes a final project and an internship in the final stage.

The minimum requirements for admission in Diploma in Visual Communication at Raffles University for all applicants (Domestic or International) are:

• program specific academic requirment set by Raffles University.
• English Language OR any other language requirments as set by Raffles University as pre-requiste for admission in Diploma in Visual Communication.

• SPM: Credits in 3 subjects
• O-level: Credits in 3 subjects
• UEC: Grade B in 3 subjects
• Others: Any other equivalent qualification recognised by the Malaysia Government which will be considered on a case by case basis
• Additional Requirement: Pass RU Portfolio Assessment and Interview
• Programme Admission Criteria through APEL.A
• At least 20 years old in the year of application.
• Have relevant work experience.
• Pass the APEL.A assessment for Diploma level.
