MSC Cybersecurity 1

MSC Cybersecurity 1 is a Masters program taught at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, Sweden. Intake: studies starting August. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (two-year programme (120 ECTS credits)) options.

The MSc Cybersecurity at KTH Royal Institute of Technology studies cybersecurity as a broad field rooted in computer science, spanning computing theory, software engineering, computer communication, large-scale distributed systems, and physical process control. The programme also includes business and social aspects of cybersecurity. It begins with mandatory courses such as ethical hacking and cryptography, plus a mandatory sociotechnical course covering law, policy, threat actor behaviour, end-user behaviour, and security governance.

The programme is campus-based but includes digital teaching. It is a two-year programme with a total of 120 ECTS credits and is taught in English. Students select cybersecurity-related courses available at KTH, choosing courses totalling a minimum of 30 ECTS and allowing additional free choice among KTH courses for which they have the qualifications. In the final semester, students complete a master’s degree project in cybersecurity with KTH research faculty, with some projects done in collaboration with companies.

The minimum requirements for admission in MSC Cybersecurity 1 at KTH Royal Institute of Technology for all applicants (Domestic or International) are:

• program specific academic requirment set by KTH Royal Institute of Technology.
• English Language OR any other language requirments as set by KTH Royal Institute of Technology as pre-requiste for admission in MSC Cybersecurity 1.
