Introduction

Aeronautical Science, B.S. is a Bachelor program taught at Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania, USA. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time options.

The Aeronautical Science B.S. brings together the science of flight, aircraft design, and aviation systems, with a focus on the technical and operational side of aviation. The curriculum builds a foundation in aeronautical technology, aviation systems and safety, and the mathematics and physics behind them.

Students use software and tools used in industry and develop technical skills, along with regulatory knowledge, for careers in flight operations, air traffic management, aviation safety, training, or research. Most classes take place in Skurla Hall with advanced computer labs, and the Air Traffic Control Lab uses a simulated control tower environment.

The degree includes specialized options for Air Traffic Control (ATC), Aircraft Dispatch, and Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS). ATC specialization aligns with the FAA Air Traffic-Collegiate Training Initiative and can include an A.A. in air traffic control, while the dispatch and UAS options support targeted preparation for dispatcher certification and UAS roles.
