Introduction

Engineering: Civil is a Bachelor program taught at Defiance College, USA. Intake: Fall, Spring. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (4 years) options.

Defiance College offers a dual degree program with the University of North Dakota in Electrical and Civil Engineering. While at Defiance College, students major in math and earn a Bachelor of Science in Math. Engineering: Civil prepares students for hands-on problem solving connected to roads and bridges and to water systems and infrastructure.

Study at the University of North Dakota is 100% online, with the exception of lab work for the civil engineering degree. Lab work is scheduled in two short summer terms. Students pay tuition to Defiance College as stated in the Catalog as part of the agreement; Defiance College pays UND for courses out of this tuition.

To earn the dual degree, students complete a Declaration of Major form at Defiance College indicating Dual Degree Engineering as major. Students also apply to UND the semester prior to beginning coursework and select the Rize-Dual Degree Program Track under Student Type. Students must maintain a 2.0 CGPA while enrolled at UND.

Admission Requirements

The minimum requirements for admission in Engineering: Civil at Defiance College for all applicants (Domestic or International) are:

English Language OR any other language requirments as set by Defiance College as pre-requiste for admission in Engineering: Civil.

Dual degree steps:

Fill out the Declaration of Major form at DC indicating Dual Degree Engineering as major. Students at Defiance College major in Math.

Upon acceptance into UND, Defiance College will assign an advisor to ensure advising of both programs.
