Introduction
USNCC Associate of Science in Engineering Fundamentals is a Diploma program taught at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, USA. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time options.
Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University offers an Associate of Science in Engineering Fundamentals in collaboration with the United States Naval Community College (USNCC). It is designed for active-duty enlisted members of the Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, and Coast Guard Reservists. The program prepares students to apply mathematics and science to technical or scientific problems, conduct experiments and analyze data, and demonstrate knowledge of professional and ethical responsibilities.
The degree is offered entirely online and asynchronously. Students earn an Engineering Fundamentals Certificate issued by Embry-Riddle upon completion of the coursework. The Engineering Fundamentals Certificate includes seven required courses: Calculus and Analytical Geometry II, Physics III for Engineers, Physics Laboratory for Engineers, Statics, Introduction to Engineering, Introduction to Computing for Engineers, and Graphical Communications. Every associate degree also includes the Naval Studies Certificate with five integrated courses.
Completion prepares students to enter roles within the engineering field or pursue an undergraduate engineering or professional degree in further engineering studies. Students may transfer to four-year bachelor’s programs at Embry-Riddle, including online programs in Engineering, Engineering Technology and Software Engineering. Participants must apply through the USNCC website and must meet the eligibility requirements to enroll.
