Applied Mathematics
Introduction
Applied Mathematics is a Bachelor program taught at Heidelberg College, USA. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time options.
The Applied Mathematics minor at Heidelberg College is designed for students who want quantitative tools that help them model, analyze, and solve real-world problems using mathematical principles. It includes required coursework in statistics, calculus, advanced mathematical concepts, and discrete computational structures, plus an elective from geometry or an additional calculus course.
The minor requires 16-17 semester hours. Required courses are MTH 119 (Statistics), MTH 222 (Calculus I), CPS 220 (Discrete Computational Structures), and MTH 410 (Advanced Mathematical Concepts). Students then choose 1 course: MTH 203 (Geometry) or MTH 223 (Calculus II). Students work with a faculty advisor to meet all requirements for their major.
