Introduction

Classics is a Bachelor program taught at New College of Florida, USA. Intake: Fall, Spring. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (4 years) options.

Classics is the study of the languages, culture, history, and thought of the civilizations of ancient Greece and Rome. In the Humanities division, the B.A. degree offers an Area of Concentration in Classics. Students study literature such as epic, drama, and historical writing, and they can connect their work with history, archaeology, philosophy, religion, art history/criticism, and linguistics.

Classics develops analytical skills for the study of ancient languages and supports a range of contemporary disciplines.
