Introduction

Public policy is a Bachelor program taught at New College of Florida, USA. Intake: Fall, Spring. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (4 years) options.

Public Policy at New College of Florida is a B.A. interdisciplinary Program with a special concentration. Students declare Public Policy as an Area of Concentration and work with a faculty mentor to design a plan of study aligned with their interests and goals. The curriculum is designed to help students analyze major public policy issues using a non-partisan, objective framework and to formulate policy solutions.

Political science and economics form the core of the Public Policy Area of Concentration. Students plan courses and tutorials with mentors, and many complete internships or work in organizations to gain experience in the policy process. Each student’s program culminates in a senior project under close guidance of a faculty member.

This program is particularly useful for students who want to go into government service, law, nonprofit advocacy, the private sector in a policy-heavy field, journalism, and graduate school.
