Introduction

Engineering Program is a Bachelor program taught at Occidental College, USA. Intake: Fall, Spring. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time (4 years) options.

The Engineering Program at Occidental College is a 3-2 Engineering Program that combines liberal arts and sciences with engineering study. Students study at Occidental for three years, then complete their undergraduate education with an additional two years at either Columbia University or the California Institute of Technology. Graduates receive two degrees: a bachelor of arts in the combined plan from Occidental and a bachelor of science in engineering from the engineering institution.

At Occidental, students follow one of three course sequences: 3-2 Physics Sequence, 3-2 Computer Science Sequence, or 3-2 Chemistry Sequence. Oxy’s program structure includes an undergraduate experience that does not require exclusive commitment to an engineering major. Students can also pursue engineering through completion of a four-year degree at Oxy, often in physics, math, or computer science, which prepares for a two-year master’s program at another institution.

Modules

  • 3-2 Physics Sequence
  • 3-2 Computer Science Sequence
  • 3-2 Chemistry Sequence
