Bachelor's in Business Analytics

The Business Analytics major at Susquehanna University teaches students how to manipulate complex data sets and use them for business needs. Students learn data literacy: the ability to read, understand, create, and communicate data as information. The major extends these skills to include programming and advanced data analytics techniques in a liberal arts and sciences environment.

The degree uses required coursework that combines business topics and analytics. Early classes include Principles of Microeconomics, Introduction to Statistics, Principles of Computer Science, Financial Accounting, Data Structures, and Principles of Management. Later analytics-focused study includes Data Mining and programming that supports techniques such as classification, numerical prediction, association rules, and clustering. The program also includes a project-based first-year business course with team presentations.
