Environmental Science

Environmental Science is a Bachelor program taught at Trinity College (CT), USA. The program is offered in campus-based modes with full-time options.

Environmental Science at Trinity College (CT) is designed for students interested in the earth’s environment and the role humans play. Students build a foundation in basic science through introductory courses in environmental science, biology, chemistry, geology, and sometimes physics or climate change. Upper-level coursework then deepens learning through earth sciences, biology, and physics, including topics such as ecology, earth systems science, and soils.

Teaching includes research opportunities and work investigated by students on topics such as the effects of clear-cutting on soil chemistry, home ranges of urban hawk populations, ecotoxicology of urban amphibian and reptile populations, and seed dispersal by horses. The program also includes at least two courses in the social sciences or the humanities, with options such as environmental policy, nature writing, economics, and anthropology. Students also take part in field trips and activities during the warmer months.
