About this program

The Master’s Degree Programme in Environmental Policy and Law is a two-year interdisciplinary programme. Students study environmental law and environmental policy, with advanced study of law and policy in relation to the environment, climate change and natural resources.

The programme combines group teaching and independent research. Students complete mandatory and elective studies, use lectures, seminars, group work and essays, and write a Master’s thesis in either Environmental and Climate Change Law or Environmental Policy and Natural Resources Governance. Each student has a supervisor in the thesis seminar.

Students choose one of two majors: Environmental Policy and Natural Resources Governance, or Environmental and Climate Change Law. The programme prepares graduates for doctoral study and for expert roles in environment, natural resource management and climate change governance.
