Doctor of Philosophy Education Phd Education

The PhD (Education) at Asia e University is for professional practitioners in education from public or private schools, community or government agencies, training departments, institutions of higher education, and other education-related settings, including those aspiring to be researchers. Students develop skills and knowledge in education theory, educational research, and data analysis, and they work toward research that supports decision-making and problem-solving around key education issues.

Learning follows a structured delivery with Stage 1: Proposal Development, Stage 2: Data Collection, Stage 3: Report Writing, and Stage 4: Thesis Examination / Viva Voce. No proposal is needed at entry; only brief research intent is required. Research workshops and research colloquia (optional) run once a month on Saturday & Sunday. Viva Voce for international students can be done on-campus or off-campus via video conferencing, and transfer of candidature is possible if the required conditions are met.

• For Malaysian and International Students: A Master’s degree in education field (Level 7, MQF) as accepted by the HEP Senate; OR A Master’s degree (non-education) must undergo prerequisite courses; OR Other relevant equivalent qualifications recognised by Malaysian government as equivalent to the above requirements.
