Master of Forensic Accounting

The Master in Forensic Accounting (ODL) at Perdana University is a postgraduate programme focused on fraud detection, financial investigation, and forensic auditing. It combines theoretical knowledge with practical applications, with emphasis on analytical techniques, legal and regulatory frameworks, and ethical considerations for uncovering financial misconduct.

Study is delivered through Open Distance Learning (ODL) as a fully online distance learning format designed for working professionals. The curriculum includes modules such as Forensic Accounting Principles, Law and Ethics, Financial Statement Analysis, Advanced Auditing Techniques, Fraud Examination and Financial Crime, Business Valuations, and Analytical Forensics and Cybercrime, ending with a Capstone Project.

i. A Bachelor's degree (Level 6, MQF) in Accounting or related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.75, as accepted by the HEP Senate; OR
ii. A Bachelor's degree (Level 6, MQF) in Accounting or related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.75 and not meeting a CGPA of 2.50 can be accepted subject to a thorough rigorous assessment as determined by the HEP; OR
iii. A Bachelor's degree (Level 6, MQF) in a Non-Accounting field with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 can be accepted subject to:
   a. A thorough rigorous assessment as determined by the HEP to identify the appropriate prerequisite courses equivalent to their minimum working experience; OR
   b. Five (5) years of working experience in the relevant field; OR
iv. A Bachelor's Degree (Level 6, MQF) in Accounting or a related field below a CGPA of 2.50 can be accepted subject to a minimum of five (5) years of working experience in the relevant field; OR
v. A Bachelor's degree (Level 6, MQF) in a Non-Accounting field with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 can be accepted subject to a thorough rigorous assessment as determined by the HEP to identify the appropriate prerequisite courses equivalent to their working experience in the Accounting or related fields; OR
vi. A relevant professional accounting qualification equivalent to a bachelor's degree as accepted by the HEP Senate; OR
vii. Other qualifications equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree (Level 6, MQF) recognised by the Government of Malaysia must fulfil the requirements on item i or ii.
