Full Time
The Master of Science Finance is a one-year, full-time postgraduate programme covering portfolio theory, quantitative finance, corporate finance and risk. Students study core modules including Portfolio Theory and Asset Pricing, Quantitative Finance, Introduction to Finance, Advanced Time Series Modelling, Advanced Corporate Finance, and Banking, Finance and Risk Dissertation.
Students can broaden their expertise through optional modules. Options include Behavioural Finance or Stock Market Analysis (select one), and Computational Finance, Derivative Securities Analysis, Fixed Income Securities Analysis, or Management of Financial Risk (select two). Optional modules depend on availability and fulfilment of a minimum enrolment requirement and other relevant conditions.
The programme is for graduates seeking specialist finance knowledge for careers across financial institutions, businesses, the public sector and academia.
Bachelor’s Degree: A Bachelor’s degree from a recognised institution in Malaysia with a minimum CGPA of 3.0 out of 4.0, or a 2:1 degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant subject.

IELTS 6.5, minimum 6.0 in all components
Other equivalent qualifications (including international qualifications) will be considered.
Applicants, such as UoSM graduates, who have completed a degree that was fully taught and assessed in English are eligible for an English language requirement exemption.
