Bachelor of Science Honours in Engineering Computer Engineering

The Bachelor of Science Honours in Engineering – Computer Engineering at the Open University of Sri Lanka integrates software and hardware aspects of computing. Students build knowledge and expertise to design, develop, deploy, test, and maintain hardware and software systems, covering software, hardware, mathematics, and management & communication.

The curriculum includes core courses such as Data Structures & Algorithms, Object-Oriented Design & Programming, Microprocessors & Interfacing, Computer Architecture, Processor Design, Engineering Mathematics, Discrete Mathematics, Professional & Technical Communication, and Engineering Management. Students also complete an undergraduate project in the final year that applies theoretical knowledge to real-world scenarios with industry collaboration.

Obtained passes in the subjects, Combined Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry at the G.C.E. (A/L) Examination, Sri Lanka, in one & the same sitting, or

Obtained the Advanced Certificate in Science with courses in the disciplines of Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry, offered by The OUSL, or

Obtained a minimum three (3) credit (C) passes for Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry in Cambridge/Edexcel Advanced Level Examination within three years, or

Obtained an equivalent or higher qualification acceptable to the Senate.
