About this program

This Bachelor of Science in Life Sciences (Chemical Engineering) trains you to combine chemistry, physics, and mathematics with engineering practice. You study inorganic, organic, and physical chemistry, as well as process engineering, and you apply process and process technology techniques.

You learn with in-person teaching and work on practice-oriented projects at the Process Technology Center (PTC) and in modern-equipped laboratories. More than one third of the program includes laboratory practical work, industry projects, and research participation. You choose modules for individual profiling from the fourth semester onward, and you complete a placement semester in industry or research and then write your bachelor thesis; the placement and thesis can be done internationally.
