Master in Micro and Nanotechnologies for Integrated Systems

The Master in Micro and Nanotechnologies for Integrated Systems (MNIS) is a joint Master’s program delivered through a mobility scheme across three partner institutions. Students complete 120 ECTS in total over a maximum of six semesters, studying PoliTo in the first semester, INPG in the second semester, and EPFL in the third semester.

Students then complete a Master’s thesis (or tesi di laurea) worth 30 ECTS, which can be completed at the home institution, at a partner institution under its rules and supervision, or in industry or at a third party institution. Students receive the degree from their home institution and also receive a joint certificate with three official logos and signatures.

EPFL students must have an overall average of 4,5/6 over their entire Bachelor’s degree course to apply to this program.

• EPFL students file their application to the joint degree program MNIS with the Electrical and electronic engineering section.
• Application documents: a CV, a motivation letter and a transcript.
• Admission considers the candidate’s Bachelor’s degree specialty, academic results, study program, and language skills.

• EPFL: At EPFL, a level of B2 minimum in French or English is highly recommended.
• INPG: Students must provide an international certificate indicating that their level of knowledge of English is equal to or higher than B1.
• PoliTo: Students must provide an international certificate indicating that their level of knowledge of English is equal to or higher than B2. This certificate will also be needed to receive the degree from Politecnico di Torino.
