GWSC Scholarships to study Master’s Degree in Asian Institute of Technology

Global Water & Sanitation Center (GWSC) provides “GWSC Scholarships” for students who want to study a Master’s degree at the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT). The main objective is to support outstanding students and young professionals from developing countries to study engineering, environment, and management studies and to contribute to their nation’s development.

The scholarships are aimed at eligible candidates from priority South and Southeast Asia countries: Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, and Nepal. The scholarship is for a Master’s degree at AIT, and candidates are expected to submit a brief research proposal focused on improving water supply, sanitation, and hygiene, including integration of data, gender, and climate change.

Selection is based on the stated application requirements: cumulative GPA of at least 3.5 in a bachelor’s degree; IELTS-Academic score of at least 6.0 or AIT EET score of 6.0; and submission of the brief research proposal as described. Candidates working in the public sector will have an advantage.

The scholarship benefits include an amount equivalent to 12 credits of tuition fee and 2 semester registration fees. Recipients also have an opportunity for internships in GWSC or GWSC partner institutes and can access office and facilities to conduct research in GWSC, along with financial support to conduct research.

• Working in the public sector provides an advantage.
