PhD Excellence Scholarships for International Students at Walailak University

The Ph.D. Excellence Scholarships (PE Scholarships) offer a full tuition fee waiver for international PhD programs at Walailak University, Thailand. The stated purpose is to support International PhD study through tuition waiver coverage.

Eligibility is open to all nationalities. Applicants must apply for an International PhD Program at Walailak University and have academic records with GPAX. Requirements differ by prior degree: Master’s degree holders must have GPAX at least 3.00 on a 4.00 scale, and Bachelor degree holders must have GPAX at least 3.25 on a 4.00 scale.

Selection depends on meeting the stated eligibility requirements, including GPAX thresholds and any additional conditions noted for grading-system conversion and Plan A1 research-only background. For Plan A1 (Research Only Program), applicants must have international publication(s). Scholarship conditions include ongoing reporting, assistant work, and publication before graduation.

Support is provided as a full tuition fee waiver for full-time study, with duration determined by study system and study plan. Recipients must submit a study and research progress report to the College of Graduate Studies at a specific time, work as a teaching assistant for at least 1 subject with not less than 36 h/term, or work as a research assistant as specified by the supervisor, and publish at least 2 research articles before graduation in peer review journals indexed in Scopus in Q1 or Q2.
