Engineering at the University of Cambridge is an engineering course that covers civil, structural, electrical and mechanical engineering, plus computing and design. Students study analytical, design and computing skills that underpin modern engineering practice, and they take papers including Design and Data-Centric Engineering, Electrical and Information Engineering, Materials and Civil Engineering, Mechanical and Thermofluids Engineering, and Engineering Mathematics. Teaching uses lectures, practicals, projects and small-group supervisions, with assessment each Part through coursework and written exams. Students complete laboratory experiments and computing exercises, and they work on an integrated design project where teams design and build robot vehicles that are tested against each other. Students must complete a minimum of 6 weeks of relevant industrial or equivalent experience.
