Bachelor of Accountancy Honours Degree

The Bachelor of Accountancy Honours Degree at Bindura University of Science Education covers business administration and core accountancy topics. Students study financial accounting, cost and management accounting, business law, business mathematics, business communication, economic principles, and auditing, plus business and quantitative analysis and research methods.

The programme is structured in parts. Part III includes Industrial Attachment and a Research Project. Part IV focuses on advanced financial accounting, advanced auditing, auditing in a computerized environment, accounting software packages, public sector accounting, tax planning, and public sector finance, alongside strategic management, risk management, corporate governance, and related management modules.

To qualify for normal entry into the Bachelor of Business Studies (Honours) degree in Banking and Finance at Bindura University of Science Education, prospective students, in addition to satisfying the minimum conditions prescribed under the General Regulations, must

• Have obtained at least five ‘O’ Level subjects including English Language and Mathematics passed with a Grade C or better,
• Have obtained ‘A’ level passes in at least two of the following subjects: Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Business Studies and Management of Business.

NB: Special or Mature Entry admissions shall be in accordance with the General Regulations.
