Bachelor of Banking and Finance Honours Babfz2 Years

The Bachelor of Banking and Finance Honours (BABFZ) is a programme for graduates of banking and finance advanced diploma programmes, such as IOBZ, HEXCO Higher National Diploma in Banking and Finance and any related advanced diplomas in finance. It includes study in applied statistics, intermediate macro-economics, business finance, business law, money and banking, public finance, management accounting, and public-sector and microfinance focused subject areas.

The curriculum comprises 18 examinable courses and a supervised research and innovation project. Students complete a minimum of 240 credit points across year one and year two, with core courses in both semesters. A research and innovation project proposal and a research and innovation project are included, supported by modules such as business research methods and research and innovation project.

For admission to the Bachelor of Banking and Finance Honours, applicants must have a diploma in Banking and Finance from a recognised institution or a recognised full professional qualification in which finance and/or the banking component(s) is (are) strongly represented. Applicants should have successfully completed these professional courses or diplomas.
