Master of Science in Applied Accounting

The Master of Science in Applied Accounting (MSc. Acc.) at Africa University is intended for students upgrading their accounting profession and for those seeking to further existing accounting careers. The programme provides a career-focused academic and professional experience. It includes understanding of standard professional requirements for practice-based examinations studied to obtain chartered status as an accountant.

Learning focuses on the application of accounting and finance techniques, underpinned by relevant laws, regulations, and international standards. The programme is full time at the Main Campus and lasts 1.5 year(s). It combines quantitative and qualitative study across applied financial reporting, management accounting and control, applied corporate governance and accountability, applied forensic auditing, and applied tax planning, alongside research methods, a research proposal and defense, and a dissertation research and report writing.
