Bachelor of Arts Honours in Religion and Community Health

The Bachelor of Arts Honours in Religion and Community Health at Africa University is an undergraduate programme designed to equip students with knowledge and skills to improve the well-being/health of their communities. It combines study of religion with community health topics, including NTRS121 Introduction to Religion and Community Health, NSHS117 Health Promotion and Care of the Vulnerable, and NSNS312 Communicable and Non-Communicable Diseases.

Learning takes place on the Main Campus in full-time mode over 4 year(s). The programme uses course modules such as NTRP100 Introduction to the Study of Religion, NHIT100 Introduction to Information Technology, and NTRS323 Community Organizing and Social Change. In the final year, students write a BA Honours research paper that normally is 30 -40 pages with double-line spacing in Times New Roman, 12 point.

• At least two GCE Advanced Level passes or a relevant Diploma in Theology or Religious Studies.
• 5 ‘ O’ Level passes at grade “C” or better including English Language
• Any candidate who is academically qualified in Arts or Sciences, or a combination of the options, according to the University General Entry Regulations, is academically admissible to the BA degree programme.
• A candidate who holds a diploma in Theology/Religion or any health related diploma from a recognized institution acquired normally in not less than three years of study, plus not less than five subjects at Ordinary Level or equivalent prior to diploma may be admitted, subject to the approval of Senate Admissions Committee.
