Bachelor of Accounting Honours

The Bachelor of Accounting Honours at Zimbabwe Open University is a conversion programme for holders of advanced diplomas or equivalent qualifications. It focuses on advanced accounting and finance, including advanced financial accounting, advanced auditing, taxation, financial management, strategic management accounting, and advanced financial reporting. Students also complete a research project to develop and apply research methodologies and techniques.

The programme uses case studies and real-world scenarios to build practical knowledge. It addresses contemporary issues and problems confronting modern accountants and requires graduates to apply the latest accounting standards and best practices in the industry. The programme structure is organised across semesters, with a minimum of 4 semesters and a maximum of 8 semesters.
