Bachelor of Commerce Honours Degree in Accounting

The Bachelor of Commerce Honours Degree in Accounting at Zimbabwe Ezekiel Guti University trains students in core accounting topics including financial accounting, audit skills, company and corporate finance, taxation, accounting information systems, and public sector accounting. It also includes modules such as business ethics, business law, management and cost accounting, entrepreneurship theory and practice, and strategic management accounting.

The course is organised by semesters, with work related learning across both semesters of the final year. Assessment includes module work and a research project. Units include Financial Reporting; Audit Skills, Theory and Practice; Accounting Information Systems; Management and Cost Accounting; Public Sector Accounting; Corporate Governance and Professional Ethics; and Research Project.

Students complete work related learning through a Student Report for Work Related Learning, an Academic Supervisor's Report on Work Related Learning, and an Employer's Report for Work Related Learning. The programme continues with advanced accounting modules such as Advanced Financial Accounting, Financial Management, and Advanced Auditing, plus Strategic Management Accounting.
