The Bachelor of Science (Honours) Degree in Computer Science prepares students for professional computer science practice in a wide range of contexts, including primary and secondary settings. It builds computer science knowledge and skills to deliver developmental and therapeutic services, with objectives that include solving complex computing problems and designing, implementing, and evaluating computing-based solutions.
Students complete a minimum of thirty-seven courses and a project on an approved computer science problem. Normal evaluation uses continuous assessment and an end-of-course examination, with 30% coursework and 70% examination. The programme includes a professional attachment for the whole year in the third year, plus a group project and a capstone project in the final year.
