Bachelor of Science Network Computing Honours Bnch Degree

The Bachelor of Science Network Computing Honours (BNCH) Degree at Zimbabwe Open University prepares graduates to implement computer networks in organisations, use networking techniques and contemporary tools, and design and analyse systems, components, and processes for computer applications and networking infrastructure. The programme focuses on building and operating network infrastructures, including secure implementation, configuration, management, and maintenance.

Students accumulate credit points toward the degree. The programme is structured into four parts: Part One (120 credits), Part Two (125 credits), Part Three (130 credits), and Part Four (150 credits), with 480 credit points required to meet the Bachelor of Science in Network Computing Honours Programme requirements. The programme is delivered through Open and Distance Learning, with flexibility in course workload and progress.

Normal Entry:

• Applicants must have 5 ‘O’ Level passes including English, Mathematics and a Physical Science subject.
• Applicants who hold a certificate or diploma in Computer Studies or have experience in the Information Technology industry will have an added advantage.
• Candidates with equivalent qualifications will be considered on a case basis and in line with the University’s General Academic Regulations.
