Bachelor of Science Honours Degree in Biological Sciences (BScBZH) is a broad program that lets you explore human biology, ecology, and molecular biology. You take courses such as Diversity of Life I, Diversity of life II, Cell and Molecular Biology, Genetics and Evolution, Microbiology, Principles of Ecology, and Plant Physiology and Animal Physiology. You can also choose work that supports an area of interest in living organisms.
The program is full time (Conventional) and runs in 4 years. Assessment includes course assessment, experiments, and exams. It includes an industrial placement in the third year and an independent research project in the final year. Modules include Industrial Attachment and Research Project, along with level I, II, and level IV courses.
Normal Entry: Candidates must have passes at Advanced Level in Biology and any one of the following Advanced Level subjects: Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Chemistry, Physical Science, Agriculture or their recognized equivalent have 5 ‘O’ Level passes including English Language and Mathematics passed with at least a grade C.
Special Entry: National Certificate, National Diploma, Higher National Diploma in relevant field
Mature Entry: A candidate must have 25years of age with 5 years of working experience in the relevant field and have passed 5 ‘O’ level subjects including English Language and Mathematics passed with at least a grade C. May be required to pass a written/ oral entrance examination set by the University in the Biological Sciences Department. University General Regulations apply in other issues.
