Diploma in Science Education

The Diploma in Science Education at Bindura University of Science Education prepares students with general courses in education foundations and teaching practice. Students study Theoretical Foundations of Education, Basic Communication Skills, Curriculum Study, Health Education, Pedagogics, Conflict Transformation, Pre-Practicum, Practicum, and Research Methods and Project.

Subject area course options are offered through departments including Agricultural Sciences, Biological Sciences, Chemistry, Computer Science, Geography, Mathematics, and Physics. The programme includes both general courses and subject area courses offered in these departments, supporting science-focused education study and research methods work.

Entry Requirements: All applicants have to meet the following minimum requirements for admission prescribed under the general regulations (i.e.):

• Have obtained at least 5 O’ level subject at Grade (C) or better including English Language and Mathematics;
• NB: Special or mature entry admissions shall be in accordance with the general regulations.
