The Bachelor of Education Dual Honours in Science Degree (EDU16) prepares in-service teachers to teach two Secondary School Science learning areas: Mathematics and Statistics; Biology; Chemistry; Physics; Computer Science; and Geography. The degree is focused on Science Education and upskilling Science Education teachers through teaching and learning, including heritage-based study, research, innovation, and industrialisation-oriented work.
Delivery uses lectures, tutorials, laboratory sessions, seminars, group work, fieldwork, industrial visits, research projects, independent study, and virtual and online learning. The programme includes common modules at different levels, a research project with dissertation and an oral presentation, electives, and specialist subject combinations across the two chosen learning areas.
Normal Entry: Diploma/Certificate in Education or equivalent from an accredited and recognized institution in any two of the following learning areas Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Computer Science, and Geography.
