Bachelor of Science Honours in Radiography

The Bachelor of Science Honours in Radiography at Harare Institute of Technology is a full-time four-year degree that develops professional competence in therapeutic and diagnostic radiography. Students learn to integrate theory, principles, proven techniques, practical experience, and relevant skills to solve well-defined and abstract problems in radiography. The programme also includes management and research skills, alongside skills for independent work and supervisory capacity within the health care team.

Study includes equal emphasis on theoretical work and clinical practice. Students complete four years of full-time study and must be registered by the relevant Professional Council for the duration of the study period in an accredited clinical training centre. The degree is housed at Parirenyatwa Group of Hospitals and is affiliated with the Harare Institute of Technology. Successful completion enables registration with the relevant Professional Council.

Candidates must comply with section 3.0 of the general regulations.

• At least two (2) Advanced Level passes in Biology, Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry.
• OR Candidates who are holders of the Diploma in Radiography or its equivalent qualification plus a minimum of two years relevant post qualification experience.
• OR Higher National Diploma (HND) in Radiography or its equivalent qualification plus a minimum of two years relevant post qualification experience.
