Master of Education Degree in Educational Leadership Management and Development

The Master of Education Degree in Educational Leadership, Management and Development at Midlands State University develops serving and future educational leaders and managers. It focuses on educational leadership, management and development, including critical analysis and an understanding of theoretical foundations for practical application in modern educational development.

Teaching and learning use blended learning, research, seminar presentations, group tasks, and tutorials. The programme includes 13 modules (each worth 18 credits) and a dissertation worth 90 credits, taken across three semesters. Apart from the dissertation, module assessment uses continuous assessment and formal examinations; the dissertation uses a final written report and an oral defense.
