The Master of Science Degree in Natural Resources Management and Environmental Sustainability covers topics including Population & Natural Resource Sustainability, Rural Environmental Planning, Environmental Impact Assessment, Environmental Economics, Environmental Policy, Land Degradation & Rural Sustainability, Biodiversity & Environmental Sustainability, Integrated Water Resources Management, Environmental Remote Sensing/GIS, Environmental Education, Research Methods & Statistical Techniques, and Climate Change. Students complete a dissertation on Natural Resources Management and Environmental Sustainability.
Courses are assessed at the end of the semester in which they are taken. Final grades are based on marks from the final examination and course work. Coursework has a minimum weighting of 25%, and the final examination has a weighting of 75%. A student proceeds to the dissertation only after passing all required courses, spending the final six months working solely on the dissertation.
